Dawn: Is that supposed to scare me? Spike: Little tremble wouldn't hurt.

'The Killer In Me'

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just got an e-mail about that! You must be on the list too. I've only been to Berkeley Rep once; I saw The Pillowman.

Our wings are not tired.

It's such a fantastic venue, P-C. I've seen a few things there in the past couple of months, and am going to see Carrie Fisher there in February. She cracks my shit up.

Mostly lurking...

And...after all that, my dad has that journal on his shelf at home. Duh. I forgot that he doesn't throw anything away. He's scanning it in and sending it over. Thanks, guys!

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

meara, I'm sorry for the craptastic news. There has been a fair amount of good job-ma around here, maybe the job fairies can dust you too.

not your mom's socks.

:tosses (other) blanket over d & puts a chamomile eye-thingy over her eyes. Removes her boxing gloves::

ok. so good: we may have a contract on our house. 100 and whatever days later. sorta-meh: not as much as we were hoping, even after the drastic un-valuing. (Alan Greenspan, you are so on the list) Sparky gets mad props for being awesome and keeping me from leaping over the edge. Thank you so much to everyone here for the support. My mom was of the 'hold on - things will get better' school of thought - and she is probably right, but I think by that point I would have completely unraveled, and become Yarn, instead of Sox.

two other things are still in the hopper - but this one could be a massive relief and I swear I'll lay off the ~ma if it works. I swear.

also? I may have (.034 seconds after we may have started the actual selling and not just the marketing of our house - way to be patient and cunning) possibly sort of let one of the powers at [nonprofit] know that I was thinking about going part-time or consultant.

This after we needed to explain why a $45 cell phone cam produced a blurry image that wouldn't work well in print. but that had nothing to do with it.

eta: inevetable x-post! curls up with book, blanket and (what is that -... fernet? ... no, better - Jilli's Chocolate Tea!)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, GC. I'm sorry. My sympathies for you, your GF and her family. I'm so very sorry. I hope he is at peace now.
