Did I read somewhere that corn should be avoided if you're dieting?
It's high in both starch and sugars, which are dieting nonos.

I feel your pain, Laga! Corn is one of my favorites. Probably because it's chock full of starch and sugars.
You're better off with the green, leafy veggies for dieting. But the rules vary with the diets.

Right now I'm focusing on changing my eating habits but I haven't adopted a specific plan. So the corn on my southwest chicken salad isn't too bad considering a typical saturday lunch for me used to be an Arby's Beef n Cheddar with potato cakes and a jamocha shake.

Baby steps are definitely easier to live with, Laga.
Personally, I'm a fan of the Arby's cheesecake poppers.
I had on order from Sock Dreams come in and I have fallen in love with the stripey thigh highs and arm warmers I got!

But I am amazed at how boring blogs can be. I always keep my post short , because if I write about onion soup - it doesn't need to be long. I swear some of these people were falling asleep as they posted. Your story of how you met should at least interest you.

amen. My rule on lj is: if the scroll bar appears before I'm done composing I need to put in a cut. I have taken people off my friends list for violating this rule too much. My friends list doesn't really reflect who my actual friends are though, it's more like who I enjoy reading. If I find I'm not able to keep up with my friends list I drop somebody.
