You might be okay on holding off until the weekend, shrift. It's just that when I was hired at Waldenbooks back in 1995, I had applied at just about this time of the month and got the last open position there. (I didn't start until after Thanksgiving because I felt it necessary to give two weeks notice at the Avenue I was then working at, even though the manager didn't do the same--she walked out on Black Friday, leaving the asst. manager she couldn't stand in charge, with the district manager coming in to fill in).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

THANK YOU, JESSE!!!! That totally saved my ass today.

Woo hoo! At least I've accomplished something.

Thanks, Kathy. I can't work Thanksgiving anyway, as I'm going to be in another state. And even if I wait too long to apply to Borders, I should be okay as long as I'm extremely frugal the next few months.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

One thing to remember when cooking for a small animal is that you may need to chop the meat up pretty finely. When I was trying to tempt an aging cat to eat, she obviously thought that chewing thing was way too much trouble, but she would eat small pieces. When I was really worried about a dog once and called my vet at night, he suggested cooking some chicken. He said if she wasn't interested in eating that, take her to the emergency clinic.

I've heard now that Pat Robertson is endorsing Rudy Giuliani. I don't know if that is help or hindrance, but I sure didn't expect it.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I don't know if that is help or hindrance, but I sure didn't expect it.

Me either. The theory is that it's supposed to help Giuliani with evangelical voters.

And how about that Ron Paul? If only he wasn't into guns and rabidly pro-life.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

And how about that Ron Paul? If only he wasn't into guns and rabidly pro-life.

And batshit crazy...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My neighbor has a Ron Paul bumper sticker. I keep reading it as RuPaul.

Punishingly Intricate

And batshit crazy...

My friend's brother is super into him and keeps posting about him on his lj. I mostly ignore it but now my friend, persuaded by his brother I guess, is saying he might register as Repub so he can vote for Ron Paul in the primary. I'm not sure what his reasoning for this is but he's generally a super liberal and mostly logical kind of dude. So, what's Ron Paul's brand of crazy?

I read Dana's post as RuPaul and was like, "Pro-life? Guns? Huh. Never woulda guessed."
