This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

I thank goodness that my cats are happily satisfied with their (expensive) dry kibble, and actually show extremely little interest in human food or the garbage, for that matter.

A-men. And the Iams (indoor cat variety) isn't too expensive if I can get over to the pet discount store. My kitty does show interest in my food in that she must sniff it and then walk away, which she always does (except for the one time she laid claim to my White Fence Farm chicken, even though she has never shown interest in fried chicken before or since). She prefers to chew on the plastic collars from Ben & Jerry pints, anyway.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kathy, did you find your info? Apparently the NY ballot question "passed overwhelmingly." [link]

As a fellow member of the contraband coffee brigade (seriously, I troll our conference rooms with my giant travel mug at 9:05 every morning) I'm vibing interview~ma to you in bushels, shrift.

Thanks, JZ. I'm trying to get through Christmas without going into credit card debt, and things aren't looking so good. Whee.

And if I totally bomb the interview tomorrow, I'll just go apply at Borders. They're going to need part-time holiday help, right? Right.

I'm glad that my dogs are happy to gobble up IAMS.

THANK YOU, JESSE!!!! That totally saved my ass today.

I'd get over there today if at all possible if you're serious about this. At B&N, we've got just about all of our holiday hiring done, except for maybe another position at the cafe. They've got the schedules already written for Thanksgiving weekend, and we're having our holiday meeting on Sunday (frickin' 7:00 in the frickin' morning, and that's after going to a party the night before!).

Oh, great. One more thing for me to freak out about.

Punishingly Intricate

We thought dog-specific food was the neatest shiniest thing, but they wouldn't touch it and wanted their hot meal instead.

Who could blame them?

What will I get for lunch today? I don't think my breakfast took. I've been hungry since I ate it. And it was normal-sized for me (two slices whole wheat baguette toast w/ avocado & lemon yogurt w/ handful of raspberries & sliced banana & glass rubyred grapefruit juice).

Holy crap holy crap holy crap.

Um...I'll be needing a bunk to be in in New York in August or September.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Without clicking, I'ma guess that link has something to do with nekkid Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway.
