Top five priciest restaurants in the USA.
I'm relieved Masa was #1, because that shit is ridiculous.
Seriously -- $400 for a 30-course Omakase dinner? Yeah, I *love* me some sushi, but that's INSANE.

$400 for a 30-course Omakase dinner
I can see myself paying it if I had the money. I don't, so it's a moot point, but I can see it.
You could pay me $400 to not eat it! Hell, you wouldn't even have to pay me!
For $400 I want more than a meal, even a really excellent meal.
Omakase has a way of making me pay the big bucks.
Not that big, but I've dropped some cash on it.
lori: That is awesome. I am almost positive I can get them here, because we have lots of Hispanic foods, but very little Japanese. Except pocky. For some reason I can get pocky at my grocery store. Which I'm not complaining about, mind you, just thinking they could maybe add, I dunno, rice? Or miso?
Anyway. I love sour foods, too. And bitter. And hot.
ita, have you ever eaten at Mori Sushi?
have you ever eaten at Mori Sushi?
I don't think so. Where is it?
Allyson, that's awful. Grr.
I have trouble believing Canlis is the priciest restaurant in these parts. Yes, it's expensive and iconic, but I thought the Herb Farm would set you back more $$.
I noticed the article specifed a la carte, which isn't an option at Herb Farm.
(We'll do Herb Farm in 2009, I guess. For our 10 year.)

Same here. Don't have much of a sweet tooth, but salty, spicy, sour all work for me.
