hamburger made from a Monsanto feed lot cow that you killed yourself
And it has to be one that you killed yourself, otherwise you might be relying on immigrant labor.
True fact: Not eating food I like makes me incredibly cranky. I hate diets.
I have to vote today. I forgot about that. It's kinda goofy, because it's pretty much a foregone conclusion given the political demographics of the city , plus the uncontested seats.
But it is a freaking general election and I'd feel like a bad citizen if I didn't vote. Mr. Smith would hunt me down and look disappointed.
I feel a little silly voting for mayor in a city I'm about to move away from, but I have a preference so I'm gonna.

No way. What's more American than magical-styrofoam-tray meat, totally divorced from any known animal origins.
Didn't The Daily Show establish the great American food item is the Jimmy Dean sausage on a stick wrapped with a chocolate chip pancake?
It was either that or it was the food equivalent of the Bush administration.

I'd love to know it. I was just reading my voting "pamphlet" (a strange designation given the fact that it's 150 pages) and I'm more confused than ever. Hopefully I can figure out all these propositions before heading to the polls on my way home.
I need to vote, too, and all I know is that I want to vote for the person I actually know who's running for city council. I need to look up all the other stuff.
Sigh. I want to be a good citizen, and I know this stuff matters, but local elections are so BORING, at least around here.
What state, megan? For my job, I have to track all the ballot issues across the country (there are eight states with questions on the ballot today), so I've got them all listed on my database.
I don't think I'm voting on any of the same stuff you are, megan. It's all local and county stuff, afaict. I should check that, though.

Good lord! My sample ballot was all of one sheet and it used BIG print. Mayor, city council president, comptroller (unopposed), city council member(unopposed.) I don't have it in front of me, but I think that's it for me this year.
