Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't think I'm voting on any of the same stuff you are, megan. It's all local and county stuff, afaict. I should check that, though.

(a strange designation given the fact that it's 150 pages)

Good lord! My sample ballot was all of one sheet and it used BIG print. Mayor, city council president, comptroller (unopposed), city council member(unopposed.) I don't have it in front of me, but I think that's it for me this year.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cars driving themselves.

My doctor just asked me what I want to do about my migraines.

Uh, stop having them. Ball's in your court, MD.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't have anything really to vote for, so I may skip it. Crazy!

California voting information is crazily complete - candidate statements, arguments for propositions, arguments against propositions, responses to both arguments. Knowing that's getting mailed to me allows me to completely ignore all political ads and most of the news.

Mr. Smith would haunt me.

My doctor just asked me what I want to do about my migraines.

This sounds like a question that should be responded to with a punch to the head. The questioner's head.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Mayor, 3 City Council seats (the top 3 of a pool of 6 candidates), and some bond issues. A typical odd-year election for this area.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think there will be literally nothing contested on my ballot, and one ballot question that doesn't apply to NYC. So.

I've voted in "elections" like this before, and it's just weird -- all the same names up for judge across all the different parties, etc.

Aaah, California. We have 11 ballot measures and 12 candidates for mayor including:
a nudist activist (Apparently I am FREE TO BE NUDE!!)
a vegan taxicab driver whose first name seems to be Grasshopper
a "showman" who goes by the name of Chicken John

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Does this apartment look too good to be true?
