It doesn't seem nearly as bad as predicted though.
It really isn't. I left for work 30 minutes early yesterday morning and this morning, and the commute from Liberty to downtown KC was the normal 30 minutes driveway-to-desk. Wet, but not slippery at all. And at at 6 a.m. the traffic isn't bad either.
I think I shall make some brownies.

The Frappr map of Buffistas wouldn't let me log in to change my location last year, and I abandoned the attempt. Now it won't complete loading for me at all, in either IE or Firefox
Yeah, it wasn't icy when I came home from work. Not that I trust that pavement.

(Liese, two of the student worker from my office went home - due to fear -w/o signing their timecards or taking their finals or anything. Who knew that this was an option?)
I need to find ingredient substitutions - I have sugar but need brown sugar, I have baking powder but need baking soda - any suggestions?
I had soup in a can and coffee. I think I paid more for the coffee.
Brownies are now in the oven.
Sometimes, I adore being an adult.
Baking powder=baking soda plus cream of tartar or something. You can just use more b.p. if the cream of tartar won't mess up what you're making, though I am not sure how much more. And my reference is still packed.
I have successfully substituted granulated sugar for brown sugar one for one on many occasions. If you have molasses or honey or some kind of syrup, using some of that in place of some of the sugar would be a good idea.
