You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, y'all know how Sars of TWOP and Tomato Nation fame said that if her readers raised whatever amount of money for donorschoose, she'd dress up in a tomato costume and dance around in Rock Center? Yeah, today's the day.

I went to Burritoville instead of Chipotle, and there was no line at all! And they have better salsa!

I love this post on Metafilter about the WGA strike.

I've been meh on Burritoville when I've gone there. But really, I'm always searching for the Burrito Brothers I knew and loved when I lived in DC.

I've got an appointment to get my acrylic nails taken off (two of them popped off yesterday) and my own nails manicured after work. Do I tip the manicurist, and if so, how much?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yay shrift!

I think I eat better breakfasts on the Atkins diet than otherwise. Today was eggbeaters seasoned with dill, facon, olives, and a wedge of Roaring Forties blue cheese.

Then I went to the park for my first 3 mile walk/jog since early summer, and neither collapsed wheezing nor took unusually long to complete the route. I believe I may reward myself by using up my full daily carb allotment on a BLTBBQ shrimp sandwich. (Not as indulgent as it sounds, as that sandwich will do for two meals and let me spread the wheat out to a slice of bread per.)

Yes, 15-20%. But that's what I tip everyone. Actually, depending on how cheap the nail place is, I tip more than that -- a $6 eyebrow wax is definitely worth more to me than a $1 tip.

Punishingly Intricate

Do I tip the manicurist, and if so, how much?

Yes! I always tip %20 for pretty much anything. The math is relatively easy & I don't have to keep different percentages in my head. Of course that doesn't work for tipping baggage handlers ($2 a bag, right?) or housekeeping at a hotel...shit, i'm realizing that I bet we didn't leave a housekeeping tip when I was in NC with my brother & nieces. I was too crazed getting the nieces together.
