Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dogs don't necessarily have to be in heat to hump. They do it as a show of dominance, too.

My friend's parents had this old, long-neutered dog who humped everything all the time. It was kind of hilarious, given that there was nothing going on down there.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Here's a question. What does the phrase "the dog's breakfast" mean? I've never been clear.

Relatedly, since I am a maroon and forgot to buy chow, the dog's actual breakfast has consisted of crackers, a package of albacore tuna, and a gingerbread donut. She's finally stopped bugging me so I guess she's full, thank god. I didn't know what I was going to be able to scrounge up next.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

playdates are becoming the bane of my existence. I cannot get this one family to return calls or give me a set time. mac has been asking since 7am "have they called?" "when is (name) coming?".

This is the kid and mom I actually like the best, but I think I will start planning things with others next week, because this is crazy making.

This is why we hate Other People.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Ugh, woke up at 4-something this morning after going to bed at 11:30. tried to go back to sleep but it didn't work so well. Feeling a little shaky.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

playdates get unnecessarily complicated, I agree. Then again, I can't seem to manage to make dates to see my friends either. Which makes me sad, but I have only my own lameness to blame there.

I'm starting to find the stress of always working on the house wearing. We've been painting the kitchen, and right now we're in the no access period. And I want coffee! And I can't hang with eating every meal out anymore!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

ARGH. The water just got turned off in our building. No warning from whoever's having plumbing work done in their building. NOT COOL PEOPLE.

At least I wasn't in the middle of a shower. The laundry that's half done will just have to wait, I guess. And we have hand sanitizer for changing diapers. But still.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The snow has started coming down.

I don't really do playdates. I've never had much luck with them. I may have to bite the bullet, though, since I'm in a new place and don't have many other ways to meet new people.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

brenda -- I thought 'the dog's breakfast" referred to the canine tendency to eat their own vomit, dubiously dead or inedible things, et cetera (white-fonted for the squeamish!).

I'm currently on lunch break from the 8 hour programming class, definitely not a whoo-hoo day.
