Sue, what age? And what's he in to?
He's 11, but is allowed any game rated teen or down (no mature games). He likes sports, has a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, and is taking guitar lessons. He also likes wrestling. Usually, I've seen him play sports games, a few fighting games, and racing. He's also already has an Xbox, a PS2, a PSP and probably needs another game console like I need a hole in the head, but that means games unique to the Wii would probably be good.
I love the catapult, but am afraid the doorbell could be annoying in practice. I think I vote flair/impaling. Although does that Send The Wrong Message to higher-ups???
I would totally be jealous of Shrift's free CPK except that I went to the new Indian place in town and had yummy yummy lunch out with a friend who I don't get to hang with enough.
Eh, I don't care enough about this to pay 2 separate shipping fees. So it's ninja/unicorn or flair/doorbell - I can't mix them.
Go unicorn! Choose unicorn!
Okay, it's time once again for my office's annual white elephant gift swap. The rules are everyone brings in a wrapped gift (under $20) and draws straws for the order in which you select gifts. You can either take a gift from the table (mystery!) or steal someone else's already unwrapped gift (score!). You can only steal the same gift 3 times.
Yankee swap!
"It's like Machiavelli meets Christmas!"
Ooh, ThinkGeek also carries the ninja catapult! So I can do flair + ninjas! We have a winner!
NO YOU MUST HAVE AN IMPALING!

Oh, I forgot which things went together by the time I started typing. But it looks like all's well that ends well!

In our version of this at work, if you do get it or steal it 3 times, you get to keep it because you worked for it. IOW no on can take it from you if you manage to get it that many times. You also can only steal twice a turn - on the 3rd go you have to got to the table or keep what you got swapped to. And whoever picked first gets to do a final swap with anyone who hasn't gotten theirs for good. This leads to even MORE madcap Machiavellian machinations.
