People!
Happy thanksgiving USians!
I did the optical illusion quiz on Facebook, and now my vision is blurry in my right eye. I'm going blind!
So, remember how I was complaining that Celine Dion was coming to town and playing in park just meters from where I used to live? Well, she cancelled! YAY! At first, her excuse was that the venue was suitable for her set, but it's come out that she was miffed but the negative reaction to the announcement of the concert. Poor baby!
Now the blogosphere have picked up on it: Perez: [link]

Some fear it will give us a bad reputation as a venue. But if we're keeping people like Celine away, I can't see a negative.
Heh.
Last night I went to bed with a migraine in the middle of Pushing Daisies, which will give you an idea of how much I hurt (actually it was the nausea more than the pain), but that means this morning I got to watch it, with apple pie for breakfast.
We have coffee, Dunkies, and the Macy's parade.
Since the children went to bed at 10:30 and some of the adults at 2:30, I hope there is mandatory napping later.
Also, I found myself cutting the cat's claws with nailclippers at 2:30 am. Did you know cats can get ingrown toenails? Poor kitty.
Heroes!
well despite going to bed around 10, mac was up before 6 and has been pretty out of character with semi-annoying demanding attention.
Nevertheless we are watching the parade. We went to see the balloons last night.
There is no cooking for us today, much to my chagrin, we are eating out.
Eating out is good!
As a kid, Thanksgiving used to mean a visit lasting a whole day to my mother's second cousin's horrible house where there was nobody to play with but my brothers, no toys and games for kids, my distant relatives' idiotic opinions and being made to dry all the dishes after dinner (while my brothers watched The Game with the other male relatives).
I've had nice and wonderful T-Days since then, but the scarring started young.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Yup. I love this story. It makes me happy every time I think of it. And narrowly avoiding a Celine concert helps us to remember to be grateful for every Celine-free day. And we can laugh at the petulance. Win-win.
Timelies all!
Happy Thanksgiving!
