'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh.

Last night I went to bed with a migraine in the middle of Pushing Daisies, which will give you an idea of how much I hurt (actually it was the nausea more than the pain), but that means this morning I got to watch it, with apple pie for breakfast.

information libertarian

We have coffee, Dunkies, and the Macy's parade.

Since the children went to bed at 10:30 and some of the adults at 2:30, I hope there is mandatory napping later.

Also, I found myself cutting the cat's claws with nailclippers at 2:30 am. Did you know cats can get ingrown toenails? Poor kitty.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

well despite going to bed around 10, mac was up before 6 and has been pretty out of character with semi-annoying demanding attention.

Nevertheless we are watching the parade. We went to see the balloons last night.

There is no cooking for us today, much to my chagrin, we are eating out.

Eating out is good!

As a kid, Thanksgiving used to mean a visit lasting a whole day to my mother's second cousin's horrible house where there was nobody to play with but my brothers, no toys and games for kids, my distant relatives' idiotic opinions and being made to dry all the dishes after dinner (while my brothers watched The Game with the other male relatives).

I've had nice and wonderful T-Days since then, but the scarring started young.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Some fear it will give us a bad reputation as a venue. But if we're keeping people like Celine away, I can't see a negative.

Yup. I love this story. It makes me happy every time I think of it. And narrowly avoiding a Celine concert helps us to remember to be grateful for every Celine-free day. And we can laugh at the petulance. Win-win.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thrive to spite them

Happy Thanksgiving!

We're at a pause in the dinner making. Our menu is: turkey breast (for Mom), vegetarian dressing with cranberris and walnuts, green beans with mushrooms and shallots, mac and cheese (a version with butternut squash, we'll see how it turns out), rolls, and vegetarian gravy. Which I'll be attempting for the first time, I cooked the mushrooms and shallot separate from the green beans and then I'm going to make gravy in that pan to try and add the flavor. Pumpkin pie for dessert.

Then I'll go over to my extended family with dad and eat more green beans (dad's making veggie for me), sweet potato casserole and more pie.

And then I'll explode.
