I guess he has made up something called the Vital Force, then made up the property that the VF acts like a gyroscope that quantum states of angular momentum (just means the angular momentum can only change in small steps not smoothly), somehow got a wave function out of this angular momentum (no idea how), and determined that this function somehow relates to a wave function of disease symptoms (what the hell?) and since this relates to a wave function of homeopathic effects (what the hell?) provides a mechanism for how homeopathy works. That's going pretty far down the rabbit hole trying to prove that water cures disease.

Sweet girl, women may drink beer, but they don't like it. They just do it to make men happy. Or because their boyfriends pressure them. Or because they don't respect themselves because their fathers were distant and stuff.

I have actually found this to be true.

I can count on one hand the number of people I've been able to truly 'get down to it' with in an impassioned debate that does not eventually turn into something personal.

And frankly, the numbers of times in any given week I have to give the 'but what that person said couldn't possibly be about YOU" speech to my clients cannot be counted.

When I've traveled, sitting around the table talking about the news of the day was such a joy in England, Scotland and Denmark...it showed in sharp contrast just why we 'joke' about the forbidden topics in 'polite' conversation in this country. Politics, religion, money and sex.

It feels to me as if we are so afraid of the impact of other people's views of ourselves that we'll go to any length to avoid opening ourselves up. The sad fact is, at least in with the work I've done with clients, that the imaginating of what someone else thinks about you is much, much worse than the actual fact.

We don't talk about politics in my family, after my grandmother went on this whole rant about GWB and how could anyone vote for him and who are these people, and my aunt finally said that "these people" was her, because she had voted for him.
