It's life. I do what I have to do because I have to do it. Not because I choose to or because I want to.
But that is strong. You could run away and not deal or climb into a bottle or just give up on that whole getting out of bed every day and to hell with what you have to do, but you don't.
Awww, I'm visiting Ms. Gracie today, and we'll do the Gracie dance (It ain't easy, bein' Graaaaace to the tune of it ain't easy being green).
I bought a ton of scrapbooking supplies for their photo album last night.
They had a whole collection of Noah's Ark stickers.
Grace was all, "WTF? You want my LEGS to hold me? You CRAZY, lady."
Hee!
And I agree that carrying on when life is fucking with you is a demonstration of strength that was already there.
But that is strong.
I appreciate that, -t. But it isn't, really. All of the things you mention are things I simply cannot do because I have obligations to my family. I guess it doesn't feel strong to do what I have to do.
Anyway, YAY scrapbook supplies! SO FUN! Thank you so much, Allyson.
Grace will be happy to have a visitors. I don't get to see her as often as I would like, so I am always glad to know when other people see her. We really need to move closer to her, maybe somewhere in Burbank or even Sun Valley which will make my commute a different kind of hell. But our lease isn't up until March.

I don't know how. I swear I want to give up, but I can't work out how.
In less bleak news, I just hit up a friend's wedding registry for gifts. Wedding's tomorrow, and there are maybe ten items left at 5 stores to get for them. You have a year, traditionally, don't you? Man, it's too easy these days.
ita, and gift certificates! Those are always good...
I got a flock of love for the couple whose wedding I went to a few weeks ago, ita. It's geese and chickens and something else, and I included the story of the thousand cranes in the card.
You don't even have to leave the cuddle lounge for that!
ETA: From Heiffer.org...they wouldn't be able to fit flocks of birds in their loft.

I'm enjoying my mental image of ita trying to herd a flock of geese into a church full of dressed-up wedding guests.
Okay, I should be going back to the conference, since I decamped and went to the coffeehouse a few buildings down. But I don't wanna.
Article about Elite Marathoner who trained all through her pregnancy and ran 12 days after birth. My lack of that level of dedication, moreso than my physical shortcomings, is why I'm mediocre at most things.
