Firefly 5: That's my girl... That's my good girl.
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe.
I just want to hug poor Mal. He's so angry and so broken. The only things in the 'verse that've never let him down are on that ship, and he's just waiting for the day.
You are so right, Zen. I never really thought about how much of Mal is holding his breath waiting for his best beloveds to break him more.
So? Just as we got this party started, next Monday is a holiday. Delay a day? Skip?
Good thought. I dunno what other people will want to do. I actually have the day off for once, and have no real plans other than not working. And since we aren't doing a synchronized W&P, we do not necessarily have to watch on the same day, even. But sometimes a holiday like this means people have even less free time the next few days.
Let's shoot Patience first! It IS her turn.
I'm around next Monday but I'm okay with waiting if others want to.
Love it, Una!
Seems like appropriate Canada Day viewing!
I love that the Alliance ship looks like it's made of skyscrapers. Nice contrast between urban / country.
Serenity's glowing butt (and the ladybug-shaped shuttles!) will never not make me happy.
...same with the opening credits. This is the only show where I never fast-forward. I mean, Serenity buzzing a herd of horses: talk about #SeriesThesis
Morena is soooooo prettttyyyyyy.
Badger claiming to be above Mal while having to crane his neck up to look him in the eye. So brilliant.
Ugh, my enjoyment of Jayne has been nearly destroyed by AB's role in GamerGate.
Another essence of the show: Mal's chopsticks and tin cup.
WE NEVER LEARNED WHAT WAS IN INARA'S SYRINGE.
The look on Mal's face when he shoots Patience's horse. He's just had it up to here with this day.
The Reaver ship flipping over to enter the atmosphere! So many awesome design decisions on this show.
"We're still flying." "That's not much." "It's enough." I LOVE THIS SHOW.
It's good to have you along for the ride, Una.
