Mercy is the mark of a great man. Guess I'm just a good man. Well, I'm all right.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Good thought. I dunno what other people will want to do. I actually have the day off for once, and have no real plans other than not working. And since we aren't doing a synchronized W&P, we do not necessarily have to watch on the same day, even. But sometimes a holiday like this means people have even less free time the next few days.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Let's shoot Patience first! It IS her turn.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm around next Monday but I'm okay with waiting if others want to.

Seems like appropriate Canada Day viewing!

I love that the Alliance ship looks like it's made of skyscrapers. Nice contrast between urban / country.

Serenity's glowing butt (and the ladybug-shaped shuttles!) will never not make me happy.

...same with the opening credits. This is the only show where I never fast-forward. I mean, Serenity buzzing a herd of horses: talk about #SeriesThesis

Morena is soooooo prettttyyyyyy.

Badger claiming to be above Mal while having to crane his neck up to look him in the eye. So brilliant.

Ugh, my enjoyment of Jayne has been nearly destroyed by AB's role in GamerGate.

Another essence of the show: Mal's chopsticks and tin cup.

WE NEVER LEARNED WHAT WAS IN INARA'S SYRINGE.

The look on Mal's face when he shoots Patience's horse. He's just had it up to here with this day.

The Reaver ship flipping over to enter the atmosphere! So many awesome design decisions on this show.

"We're still flying." "That's not much." "It's enough." I LOVE THIS SHOW.

It's good to have you along for the ride, Una.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

A little early? A little late?

Train Job

I didn't fight in the war.

I love how Zoë is the muscle/better fighter

Mal. Bad. From the Latin.

Compressor coil! The ongoing thread.

I reaaaalllly want to watch the episode of Mal & Inara history.

"Have you got time to do my hair" I wonder if that was scripted or Nathan ad-lib

Love how the passengers all want to help (but hesitant to do illegal)

Little rhyme. "Our men didn't get a look", "can we find out what they took".

So? Would his job be open?

I'm getting all bendy…Angels!

I love how Shepard has the plan to get them back.

I waited for you guys!

Wash for the save!

I was aiming for his head.

This is my fav scene. "I get it. I speak for everyone". First thought was Mal didn't mean to push him through the engine. But. Watching it again. I think he did. But the face he makes??

HANDS OF BLUE!!!!!! Every time I see those surgical gloves, I say that line "two by two, hands of blue".

Oh, I think Mal 100% meant to shove him through the engine.

Mal. Bad. From the Latin.

Malcolm, Scots Gaelic, devotee of St. Columba (Latin, dove, peace), "the 6th-century Irish monk St. Columba (or Colum) who ... is credited with the conversion of Scotland to Christianity." Interesting. I'm sure Joss didn't know that.

Sorry, River. You're not wrong, but you're not entirely right that time either.

We haven't re-watched it yet due to power outage on the night we planned to do it, but there has never been any doubt in my mind that Mal meant to kill that guy.
