"That's my girl, that's my good girl."
Love, love, love the friendship between Inara and Book. Love the Divine in both of them.
"We're still flying."
"That's not much."
"It's enough."
90 minute special! World Premiere! Exciting. Netflix is stuck at 25% loading. Grumble. OK, let's do this the old fashioned way, find the DVD's!
What's funny, is to see my business card from 2 jobs ago in the first DVD case, because I was loaning them out, to get people hooked.

We've done the impossible, that makes us mighty!
-----
When he shoots down the plane, and it crashes on him, it's foreshadowing of all his plans.
-----
I like how the sticky door looks like an exclamation point.
-----
I hate to say it. Blasphemy. But that opening scene? It is a bit dry. Needs moreā¦ something. Music? No real music. Aside from gunshots, not much in the way of sound/ambience. It feels flat. Compared to the "six months later". That great slide guitar. Depth to the visuals, better lighting (even in the dark scenes).

Cry baby cry,
make your mother sigh
Beatles!!!! in the future!!!
-----
Let's moon them.
-----
They are rabbiting (I say that every time there is a runner in a procedural show! Ha, maybe this is where I got it from!!)
-----
Gosh, I haven't heard that theme music in a long time. Love it.
-----
We're crooks, if everything was all right, we'd be in jail.
-----
The apple peeler cracks me up. No clue why.
-----
I hope those strawberries didn't come from Trader Joe's
-----
The umbrella is hypnotizing.
-----
Poor Book, everyone calling him Grandpa.
-----
Medical supplies. Had to go with that one, with a doctor on board. D'oh!
-----
If those lil dimples don't make you wanna eat strawberries, I dunno what will.
-----
I dunno why, but I really love the fold-back toilet and slide out sink. Space saving and cool. Needs a cleaning. And don't want to think about where the waste goes when he folds it up.
-----
How many of the passengers are in the cargo hold against the rules!?!
-----
"The Doctor? Oh! ... Is there a reward?"
-----
Noo!!!! don't shoot Kaylee!!!!
-----
Are you asking me to dance?
-----
I didn't remember the teddy bear patch on Kaylee's pants. Adorable.
-----
Mal's "huh" after opening the crate.
-----
"I can see your not an idiot." Ha!
-----
The waiting scene as the reavers pass. All the little vignettes, show small insights into each character.
-----
Golly, there is so much in this first episode!!! I get why the opening war part is in the show. It sets up Mal & Zoe and their hate of the alliance. I wish it was cut up into flashbacks instead. Then the lack of background audio, and flat lighting would make more sense, help it stand out. Aside from that, it's such a great episode!!
-----
We are lost in the woods.
-----
The man is psychotic!
-----
Zoe's out on a deal, I always worry, so, it's not out of my way.
-----
You're right about this being a bad idea.
Thanks for saying, sir.
-----
The way Zoe always calls Mal "Sir" reminds me of Marcie from "Peanuts", always calling Peppermint Patty "Sir".
-----
That's my girl. That's my good girl.
-----
Work work work.

I think I'm on the wrong ship.
Maybe. Or maybe your exactly where you ought to be..
(and the silhouette reverse absolution shot).

Lookin' for the like button, omnis.
I had to edit. The formatting chopped half my post. Yikes! There is more. Re-read the post.
Yeah, after I posted my reply, I saw and thought, "Well that post's not a show-er, it's a grower".

Gets the job done.
I just want to hug poor Mal. He's so angry and so broken. The only things in the 'verse that've never let him down are on that ship, and he's just waiting for the day.
You are so right, Zen. I never really thought about how much of Mal is holding his breath waiting for his best beloveds to break him more.
