It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

At least this time I wasn't trying to make you choose between Firefly and shrimp.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Why does "Zoe" have an afro?

Why does "Zoe" have an afro?

I pondered that myself. I'm not sure that "because that's the hairstyle she would have had if she were, in fact, in a folk-rock band in the 1960s (or whenever)" is as acceptable reason as the designer might imagine.

it may not be an afro. it could simply be a way of representing her wavy hair pulled back the way she usually wore it on the show.

It's an afro, because her wavy hair was pretty close to her head. Plus, everyone else's hair is basically the same as it was on the show, why is hers different?

I'm also irritated that they realized that the hairstyle made her gender so ambiguous as to put lipstick on the caricature (which doesn't make sense if they were going with the "folk rock band" vibe), but they were so invested in the afro that they did it anyway.

It's like they said "oh, it's a folk band, so a black person would have an afro" @@
