And I love how smitten he is looking at her, 'cause again, we fall in love with her.
And it's not half a thing, when Inara asks him to leave, that she knows in a way that he loves the ship more than he loves her, that he's going to choose the ship every time.

What about Joss's hand?
When Mal is stumbling back to the deck, the bloody hand on the left side is actually Joss. He held the camera himself to do the reshoot and used his own hand. If you look close you can see it is way smaller and more...delicate...than Nathan's.
