You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Or just press play at 7:00 board time.

Is there a clock somewhere that shows the board time?

Not that I know of, but the time you posted is shown on each post so you could compare what time the clock on your computer thought you posted to the time b.org shows on your post. (FYI it's the same as Pacific time)

libkitty is right. There is a an atomic clock lying about. Just go to www.time.gov and choose a time zone. I used to set my watch by this clock until I started setting it by our work phones. Not as accurate, but more practical for reference shifts.

Hey gang, sorry I missed it last night. Stupid work function. Pfft. By the time I got home, I passed out tired too. Go figure.

Anyhow. Fav points in the show:

  • Inara smacking Mal
  • O yes, the toss thru the engine. But I think, even more, the reaction of the other guy of "o no, I got it" so as to avoid being tossed as well
  • yes, the doping of Jayne. Big lug, takes forever to be drugged.

There are more, of course, but those are the ones that stand out the most while at work.

O,Morgana

The actor playing the sheriff... who is he?
As mentioned, that is Gregg Henry. He did a show with us, [link] and he is a cool guy. It's always fun to see someone you know on TV. (ps: he's not a bad singer either, but then again, singing Randy Newman songs, I think its not hard to sound better than RN... great writer, not the best of voices).

The longer I stay awake tonight, the more time I have before tomorrow begins.

The most recent episode of the Dragon Page's Cover to Cover podcast features an interview with Jane Espenson. The show description says

Interview: Jane Espenson joins us to talk about the newest Firefly/Serenity collection, Serenity Found from BenBella Books. She tells us about editing a collection about a universe she's so fond of and familiar with, and a lot about television writing, and a bit about the WGA strike.

Check out our "Slice of SciFi" interview with Jane, and don't miss your chance to win an autographed copy of "Serenity Found" as well!

The interview starts about 14 minutes into the episode.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Sorry I missed out, guys. It's been an insane week! (wait, I knew "Serenity Found" was coming, and yet, I don't have it yet! And I can't spend any more money on myself till after Christmas!)

I think this might be my very favourite episode (though I think that about every one). It starts with a bar fight, and ends with them kicking the bad guy through the engine; what's not to love! Plus, lots of funny, and action, and honorable deeds, and burqas, and chickens. I so adore the whole scene where Inara is breaking Mal and Zoe out. I also love how the holographic bar window is such a mission statement for the show.

So many favourite quotes:

  • "This is why we lost, you know. Superior numbers." "Thanks for the reenactment, sir."
  • Hey, them ain't kosherized rules!"
  • "This is another sign of your tragic space dementia, all paranoid and crochety. Breaks the heart."
  • "Whimsical in the brainpan"
  • "And what happened in the engine room? Was it monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?" (and there's the compression coil again!)
  • "What did I say to you about barging into my shuttle?" "That it was manly and impulsive?" "Yes, precisely, only the exact phrase I used was don't."
  • "I've just got an image of a guy hanging from the ceiling." "I've got an image of it not being me."
  • "Sir, I think you have a problem with your brain being missing."
  • "Hell, this job I would pull for free!" "Then can I have you share?" "No." "If you die, can I have your share?" "Yes."
  • "What are we doing?" "Crime!"
  • "These are stone killers; they ain't cuddly like me."
  • "Whatever happens, remember I love you." "Sir?" "Because you're my wife." "Right. Sir. Honey."
  • "You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with till you understand who's in ruttin' command here!"
  • "You can't change that by gettin' all...bendy."
  • "Did he just go crazy and fall asleep?"
  • "His story had kind of an odor to it." "Yes. It's not the only ting about him that does."
  • "We tried to get him into the infirmary...he's just...heavy."

where did all those typos come from? It wasn't even late!
