You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

I'm doing the "Hey this ep has commentary!" rewatch. Alan and Nathan's commentary is hilarious.

I was in colder than that in Fairbanks. To be fair, though, I'm not sure that there's really any reason you'd want to go to Tok in the winter even if it were warmer. Pretty much, people go through Tok, not to Tok.

Um, and to make this on topic, I hadn't thought of Book's statement being reassuring. I'll have to pay more attention next time.

Enjoy, BD. I like this commentary, but I think I'll go finish up my Rome commentary instead, since I'm on the last ep.

Mmk LK. This really is my favorite room. No-one seems to slip between the cracks. Good times.

Tok is in Alaska near the Canadian border on the Alaska Highway. It's in the interior of Alaska, and is often one of the coldest spots in the state in the winter and one of the hottest in the summer. I haven't checked recently, but I think it has a population of about 150, maybe fewer in the winter. They cater to highway traffic and I think most US border guards and their families live there.

Ok, my memory's off on the population. You can find out more about it in the Alaska Community Database [link]

Okay, the average high in July of 72 sounds perfectly fine, but the average low in January of -32? No. No way. It does not sound like a comfortable place to live, thank you very much.

Thanks for the info, though. One more place I can eliminate from my list of potential future places to live.
