Tok is in Alaska near the Canadian border on the Alaska Highway. It's in the interior of Alaska, and is often one of the coldest spots in the state in the winter and one of the hottest in the summer. I haven't checked recently, but I think it has a population of about 150, maybe fewer in the winter. They cater to highway traffic and I think most US border guards and their families live there.

Ok, my memory's off on the population. You can find out more about it in the Alaska Community Database [link]
Okay, the average high in July of 72 sounds perfectly fine, but the average low in January of -32? No. No way. It does not sound like a comfortable place to live, thank you very much.
Thanks for the info, though. One more place I can eliminate from my list of potential future places to live.
It's not high on my list either, Morgana, although not so much because of the temps.
"Trash" is this weeks's watch and post. Nekkid Mal! What more could you want?
Yay naked Mal! Also Best Mexican Standoff Ever!
Nekkid Mal. *sigh* I SO want a DVD player right now.
OMG, I'm watching "Saving Private Ryan". About an hour into it, the first Private Ryan (not the one they are looking for) looks to be our very own Capt Tighty Pants! A crying lil baby version. He's still got some of his baby fat on him.
ION, I really hope I can make it tomorrow! Good chances of it!
I'm totally down for tonight. Had the show gone forward I'm sure they'd have at least pulled out YoSaffBrig one more time. Cute girl, great character!
I may be distracted with new!cat but I'll be here.
