I can see why a doctor would find it reassuring to know he hadn't intentionally shot someone. Although, Simon has aimed a gun at more than one person over the course of the show.

I was in colder than that in Fairbanks. To be fair, though, I'm not sure that there's really any reason you'd want to go to Tok in the winter even if it were warmer. Pretty much, people go through Tok, not to Tok.
Um, and to make this on topic, I hadn't thought of Book's statement being reassuring. I'll have to pay more attention next time.
