Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oh, and I'm STILL in Cleveland. *sigh*

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Did you have a five way? Oh wait, that's Cincinnatti.

We ate Vietnamese.

I've had wonderful hosts but I'm ready to be home.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it's a good idea to leave instructions. Being able to say "this is what s/he wanted" during whatever is so comforting, even if it's not what you would personally choose.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, Cashmere. I certainly understand not ALWAYS coming first. Once, however, would be nice and novel and assure me he gave a rat's ass.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

There is, actually, a Skyline in my neighborhood, which probably isn't too far from where Cashmere is right now. Unfortunately, it's cold and dark and (knock wood) she gets to leave tomorrow and go home to her babies.

The weather sucked, but it was lovely to see everyone.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ray Cole on The Wire had the Pogues. Something with "American"in the title. That was a beautiful moment.

"The Body of An American" - another great song for a wake.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm still secretly hoping for a viking funeral if they can pull if off, though.

In a moment of group insanity during a dinner with DH, his brothers, and our SIL, we came up with a new fundraiser for the University of Oklahoma (alma mater of most of the family)--put in a crematorium on the edge of campus, and a columbarium in the end zone, so the true OU fan can support the Sooners for all eternity. The ashes would be conveyed to their final resting place in the Sooner Schooner.

We started brainstorming how other universities could handle this, and the idea we came up with for UW, given Seattle's Scandinavian heritage, was Viking funerals on Lake Washington, within sight of Husky Stadium.

I could try to hit it on the way to the airport, but it's unlikely. I'll be catching the train from Shaker Square and I'll leave early--probably spending too many hours at the airport for my own comfort.

The weather sucked. The company DID NOT suck. Deena, I have a question for you that I'll email you soon.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

We buried our Irish Wolfhound's ashes under a bush and it thrived.

You mean the bush, right?
