Woooot! Go Suzi!!
job-ma to GC's gf. I know the feeling. and it's not a good one.
I have such a crush on someone who would be so bad for me. It's fun having a crush, but it also sucks. Gah.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So awesome! And to think I almost didn't click on it because- random link from ita could be anything.
yay Suzi! and I am guessing the girls will all want to be there to bake cookies next year - It was always a ritual when we got back from school.
Thanks y'all. I've just hit melancholy.
The Lucas Christmas cards are fantastic. I'm on the WRONG mailing list.

::gropes a little bit, surreptitiously::
You college graduate, you. I would take your melancholy, if I could, sweetie.
I'm so proud and happy for you, Suzi. I have a message for you: It's real. You're a college graduate!

Oh Meara, I'd be sooooo good to you, don't worry....um...I mean, never mind.
Question: I am trying to clean out my garage and it's actually full of awesome stuff that I do not need to make $ from, and is too nice to take to Goodwill. I would really just like to find good homes for some of this stuff, especially if anyone's on the broke side. The first thing is a Brother sewing machine an ex-boyfriend bought me so that I could, um, learn to sew and make him curtains. He got his damned curtains, and I never turned the damn thing on again. Also, his wonderful (not sarcastic) sister, who is a seamstress, gave me a TON of sewing supplies---scissors, patterns, extra fabrics, you name it. A lot of stuff that was given to me in immense kindness, so I would like to find a good home with a Buffista (local to SF Bay Area would be easiest for me) for the sewing machine and all of the peripherals.
The other is a bit odd. When one of my elderly dogs was dying this Summer, she had a bout with incontinence and I bought a bunch of Large diapers and also some cloth diaper covers for her. Sadly, we don't need them anymore, and it's too late for a refund. They're damned expensive and I don't want to trash them. But again, I don't need any $ for them.
Job ~ to GCGF.
Yay Suzi! This was not such an easy thing to accomplish with all you have on your plate. You should be very proud of yourself.
I'm cooking burgers on the grill and eating Cape Cod Robust Russet chips while waiting. There is also Mac 'n Cheese and red wine. When I take time off the diet I do it right.
Watching Scrooge for the 3rd time this week. DH can't get enough.

Don't you know there was more than one person thinking that very same thing!
Java, if no one local wants the sewing machine, I would happily send you shipping costs. I've been wanting a sewing machine for ages, and to learn to sew.
Man, if I were localler, I'd be trying to be all over that sewing machine. But what I need in truth...or, well, want is something pretty simple for mending, alteration, and maybe simple sewing only. So no point.
Meara, I'm too femme for you. It just wouldn't work. Be strong.
