Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.

I forgot about this one! I love this song and I haven't heard it yet this year.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

oh for goodness sakes don't feel guilty.

Laga, I'm English. I mean, almost painfully so. You know that bit with Eric Idle, in National Lampoon's European Vacation? Where they bump into him while walking, and he apologises, and then they run over him, and he apologises, etc etc etc? It's far too accurate, at least as far as I'm concerned. We apologise to people when they step on our feet, never mind when we've rejected their amorous advances.

Anyway, I'll stop wincing some time in the next hour or so, and focus on the nice (if less geographically convenient) people whom I've encountered & had some correspondence with via OKCupid instead of Mr NoCapitalLettersGuy.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Right. I should've made my suggested response "No thank you. Very sorry."

And I'm off... goodnight, all.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm more interested in finding fellow geeks who want to discuss 'Firefly' or 'Stargate Atlantis' or 'The Sandman' or TS Eliot.

Fay, if I fancied girls, I'd be licking you right now. With Daniel I get 3 of those 4, but we haven't had the Eliot discussion because I've had to block the T.S. love due to losing those books when I fled my mother's house.

This is bittersweet, bringing back part of myself that has been missing, and yet... it's missing. I'ma go add some of his stuff to my Amazon wishlist.

Perhaps "No thank you. Terribly sorry, old chap." Or "No thank you. I appear to have accidentally brutally stabbed myself to death while shaving."

Ah, TS Eliot. My Complete Eliot is back in the UK, but there's always the internet for a quick fix. Not the same thing, of course.

There are a lot of books I left, figuring that until I could have them shipped again, they would be easy to find in the library, if I needed them.

Turns out I need my own books, in a visceral way that has nothing to do with the availability of the texts.

Ok, I need to go to bed, and stop this line of thinking, or there will never be any peace for me.

Rest well, all.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I was just taking off my socks, and got a whiff of my feet. Then spent nearly ten minutes sniffing my feet because they smell *delicious*. Sweet, with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla. I don't use scented body lotion, and this is kinda wierding me out. But yet....*sniff* yummy! Should i be concerned?

Now tagless for your comfort.

pretty sure it's illegal to possess an unlicensed handgun, maybe not in every state?

Owners are licensed, guns are not. It's not illegal to possess a gun in your home but carrying it around or using it, the rules can vary greatly. Does the friend have a license to carry a handgun? He can always ask the police that he was given the gun by his roommate and ask to have the serial number on the gun checked--making sure that it hasn't been used in a crime. If the serial number is clean, then he won't lose the gun.
