Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

I'm in Dallas and it looks like my flight to Toronto is on time. I even had time to duck into duty free and pick up a bottle of Bushmills for the director.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Don't jinx it, ND!

Also, based on writing style, I'm pretty sure it's JZ I just waved to over at the slacktivist thread on Rick Santorum. I'm absolutely chuffed (and yet, in no way surprised) over my first unexpected vitrual run-in with a Buffista outside of B.org.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ok. I just posted my reflection in my LJ. If you're on my FL, will you go give me your thoughts? (And, if you're not on my FL, why not?!)

I would love to read it vw, but I'm not onl LJ

So pissed lady in Budapest's duty free said I couldn't buy the big bottle of Unicum because they would take it away in Amsterdam. Don't they plan for that?

Mostly lurking...

I would love to read it vw, but I'm not onl LJ

I'll unlock it for a bit. I just don't want to post it here, because it's got people's names in it. I'm vwbug over in LJ.

brillig

the big bottle of Unicum

t stares at that. Tries to think of a comment. Stares at it some more. Thinks about the folk in Amsterdam taking it away. Stares some more, then wanders away.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Yup, that was me, Sean. I've been a mostly-lurker on slacktivist since June '05, when SusanW posted a link (possibly right here in Bitches, though maybe Natter) to this post, which caused me to laugh like a drain and a printout of which has lived on my bulletin board at work ever since.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

VW, if you're comfortable, I'll send you a few links that might be important to read before you send off the reflections. And I have some thoughts/observations/suggestions, but I am on my way out the door, so I'll try to get to them tonight.

Actually, one I'll post one of the links right here: [link]

Which addresses your point here

I think she was trying to say that African Americans would perceive that we must from be a privileged background, because we are white, educated, well-spoken, good writers, etc. I think. And I can get that. But, well, I think it's still a dangerous place to go when you don't know the backgrounds of everyone in the room.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I guess because of the no liquid thing, but I thought that's why they had the duty free shops-so they could wrap it up and seal it so you can carry it on the plane.

Or is it the idea that I like that stuff at all that's freaking you out?

Our wings are not tired

Wow. I'm on the flight now and the plane is half empty. What are the chances of that at this time of year.
