Knitting gets easier. Everyone's first few projects end up weird. (This is why I usually recommend that the first few projects be pot holders. In all likelyhood, you'll end up with something rather more blobby than square, but who cares? It's a pot holder.)

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I've tried to cast on 3 times now. I think I'm grasping what to do for the knit part. Its the starting that is kicking my ass. Not helping that they are both kinda new with different tecniques. Me confused.
I tried. It kicked my ass. Sad to say, I gave up. Not as easy as it looks.
I just tried to type up some advice, then realized that knitting advice is absolutely useless in text. (Also, my grandmother taught me to knit when I was a kid. She was from Germany, so she taught me the Continental method, which looks totally weird to anyone using the other method. So it would probably leave you more confused, anyway.)
I crochet, because knitting involves too much counting, but when I have knit, I've always used the instructions on Martha Stewart Living. [link]
Heh, doesn't help that i'm left handed and taught myself how to knit from a rather confusing books, so it's more like "Oh, that seems to work, let's keep doing that." i'll try to dig out that book :)

My universe is made of gronk. It is far to early to have already been up for more than an hour. At least I'm almost to the airport.
I'm awake. This is not how I wanted to start my morning.
