So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ow. I just fell right on my ass - my rolly chair rolled out from under me. Fortunately, my ass is well-padded, so I am unharmed. Except for feeling kind of dumb.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I think this is why I prefer the traditional chairs. Well that and I'm getting up for my second glass of wine.

I should have just stood up to get the coaster off of the floor, but no, I had to lean. Lazy. And? I didn't even pick up the coaster when I was down there. I think it's bed time.

Let us be icepack buddies!

Dude! It's in league with my futon!

Clearly! Can we be painkiller buddies, too? 'Cause I'ma go find me some. Man, and last week I killed my head ducking into the car... it was like the weather stripping grabbed on to my hair and pulled my scalp up from my skull or something. Still kind of tender a week later. Maybe I need the bubble wrap I'm always trying to push off onto you.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I went to see A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Model Secondary School for the Deaf tonight. It was pretty cool. The actors all signed, with a voice interpretation. Some of the songs were done with the voice interpreter speaking, and for some they played the CD of the Broadway recording. They cut at least three songs -- Free, Why Does He Look at Her That Way, and Pretty Little Picture. The opening "Comedy Tonight" was spoken, and slowed down a whole lot -- I'm guessing they wanted to make sure there was space to get in the whole lot of explanatory stuff that's shoved into that song. The ending "Comedy Tonight" was at regular speed, with the music.

The girl playing Pseudolus was really good. Just captivating to watch. The staging of "I'm Calm" and "That Dirty Old Man" were both really great, matching the pace and rhythm of the signing to the rhythm of the songs.

The only bit that I thought just didn't work at all was when the captain is first entering with the "Left, right, left, right, there's none of the enemy left, right?" "Right! Left, ri...uhhh." There's just no way to make that joke work in any language where the words for "right" as in the direction and "right" as in correct are different.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Dear GOD, Beth!

Do you want it to ATTACK?!?!
