'Soul Purpose'

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thanks Chikat and Susan. Much appreciated.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

X-posty with Kristin: some guys aren't insecure, just very very monogamous. The idea of the one they love being with someone else is unacceptable to them.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

what kind of straight guy won't consider a girl girl boy threesome?

He's not very sexual. Which is the weakest part of their relationship, IMHO, because she is extremely sexual. I like him, I think he's a good match for her in many ways, but...I have reservations about the long-term viability of their relationship on this level.

Not, I hasten to add, because I see sex as the end-all and be-all of a relationship, but because I know when one person attaches importance to a thing as part of their general life satisfaction and happiness and health, and the other person doesn't or can't, it can lead to frustration and imbalance. Whether this thing be sexual fulfillment, or religious faith, or...um...cilantro.

Wow, that's eerie. I had this exact conversation with someone before I got married. Also, DexH was definitely mainly very monogamous rather than insecure.

Anyway. In the past.

Laga, did you see Fay's question to you? I'm sure you were using the plural/general "you," right?

Please tell me no marriage was ever broken up by cilantro. I left onions out of my cooking for years just to make my sister happy.

I have the sudden urge to make tacos with chopped onions and cilantro.

Totally missed this:

...this wasn't addressed to me, was it?

no, the general "you". I'd had the idea floating around in my head since the first time I saw someone say something like, "I like the idea of a poly relationship but I don't think I could do it." It took a couple of glasses of Pinot Noir for me to squeeze out the post.

Sorry, babe, a Google search finds that 3/5 American marriages are adversely impacted by a couple's differing views on cilantro.

Republican legislators are currently pursuing the passing of a bill that "outlaws that pernicious herb, cilantro, as being basically inimical to the family values our country hold dear" reports Ida Fo-Journalistte in the Washington Post.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

This is me. Except for the part about being a guy. I am mono and don't view that as insecurity.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Yeah, I don't think we need to start tossing around words like "insecurity". So far everybody has stayed nice.

If I read right, Laga had already modified her stance on that, I think for that reason. I agree that insecurity is a loaded word.
