Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

Today on NPR they were talking about how they need to find a way to monitize (monetize?) internet content to make sure writers get paid for their work. I suppose it's possible they meant, "turn internet content into money" but I don't think so.

No, they are talking about turning internet content into money. It's actually a really big issue for writers. How to get paid for their work when it gets used in new types of media.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you're cheating on your SO and love them both, are you poly in a non-poly relationship?

I mean, you don't have to be decent about it, right? You're like a closeted poly.

Me, I haven't fallen in love with one person yet., so no risk there.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

If you're cheating on your SO and love them both, are you poly in a non-poly relationship?

You know those quizzes you get in email or on myspace, and usually like the 20somethingth question is "Is it ever ok to cheat?" My answer is always, "I try not to judge situations which I am not a part of."

All is well that ends in pizza.

t has notion to come up with some sort of joke combining polyamorous with pollyanna, then thinks better of it.

Hi All. Trying to cram three days off into two because my employer has declared tomorrow a Mandatory Saturday for all Helpdesk personnel. Even worse I have to be in 2-1/2 hours earlier than my normal 10:30 shift.

Always Anti-fascist!

But if it's okay, it's not cheating. Right? "Cheating" to me means you lie and sneak around.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

what a fun rapid thread to read at work. I tell you what.

So, getting in pants and splitting hairs... um.. what if they shave? /dorkness

So, by some of the definitions out there, I have some very loving girlfriends who have boyfriends thus making me a non-sexual poly guy? Eh. I'm their platonic friend. I'm with those that said, once in a relationship, my emotions and stuff is with that person. ack. But like others said, it's been so long since I've been in one, I dunno.

Wow, what a wasted post. /ramble

I look more rad than Lutheranism

If you're cheating on your SO and love them both, are you poly in a non-poly relationship?

Uh, no. You're being promiscuous in a monogamous relationship.

Inherent to a poly relationship is the idea that everyone is upfront and truthful and communicates and all that healthy stuff; in the situation quoted above, your SO knows about Guy #2 and is good with it. That would make it poly.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If you're cheating on your SO and love them both, are you poly in a non-poly relationship?

I think you can be poly and cheating at the same time, same as any other orientation.
