I think what Trudy meant was finding another person you love and having to go through that process again and again to weed out the ones that you couldn't/wouldn't.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Either way? Whole bunch of dating. Agh!!!!!

[Edit: Yeah, what Aimee said. My personal objection is not a matter of morality, simply of fatigue.]

One of the things that keeps me married.

I fixed that problem by marrying my Tivo. He's the best thing that ever happened to me.
t /no really, I'm not pathetic
One of the things that keeps me married.
Well, that and he's smokin' hawt.

My current fix involves kicking and hitting of pads. And then when class is over having, um, vivid thoughts about my various instructors.
Not during class, however, because during class I'm a) too focused on not getting kicked in the head and b) hating their guts.
Last night, for example, the hating involved "Ok, tonight we're going to do ten push ups, ten crunches, ten jump squats. Let's see how many sets you can get through in three minutes. When the bell rings at each minute that just means push harder."
I keep wanting to say "I'm a fat girl! Stop doing this to me!!!!"
Do you know how long three minutes can last? A long long time.
Well, that and he's smokin' hawt.
True, but I can now get into his pants without him being here. He might be superfulous at this point.
I was responding to this from Toddson
Trudy - teh sex, silly!
it's an irritatingly common misconception.
dating is a pita no matter what your orientation.
Do you know how long three minutes can last?Pretty much forever.
it's an irritatingly common misconception.
Well, I get that, but Toddson's comment has some validity also. There *is* sex involved in polyamory, yes? The relationships aren't purely about sex, but there is sex there.
