Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Do you think I could stick a couple of pieces of lettuce under the bandage and call it a burrito?

I say go and give it a try!

I really dig my neti pot. Is that weird?

No. The neti pot is a wonderful invention.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

kids in the US (as opposed to Korea) were actually rating themselves as "excellent" at things like math where they clearly weren't.

Or we could just wait for them to get to college to find out they're not....

Yes! Let Hil deal with it, is what I say.

It's only 1:30. I'm going to die here.

Seriously. And I already took a long lunch.

I'm going to have a full week of dealing with my computer clock constantly readjusting to what it thinks is the right time, aren't I?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wish the guy I have a 2pm set up with would come in early so we can meet early and I can go pick up my meds and take them and sleep and then restart working.

Wanted Mexican because of the discussion here, but I ended up with chicken marsala over mashed potatoes (much less messy that the standard over-noodles version). I don't think it's enough food, though.

Art Crawl!!!

I went to the Nutrition Science students restaurant where they were serving a French meal. I had French Onion Soup, Crepes with Roasted Vegetables (mainly zucchini and mushrooms,) potatoes au gratin and a Pear and Almond tart for dessert. Deliscious. The best parts were the soup, the potatoes and the dessert.

I need to come up with something for a work potluck tomorrow. Probably not a dessert, since I suspect those are covered. Any ideas for something fall or halloweeny?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Some kind of vegetable casserole? People seem to associate vegetables with fall.

Succotash? Mushroom pie? Applesauce?
