shrift, unfortunately everything I want to be and everything I have skills for does not pay particularly well. It's a bummer.
Which is my way of saying, good luck.
You guys knew about this three months ago and today you're telling me about it? Well, fine.
Good lord.
ION, I think I need one of these. I love Eli the seltzer man, but we've been getting more and more dud bottles from him lately. Plus there's the carrying 10 glass bottles of seltzer up 4 flights of stairs every week.
Jess, are we reading the same blogs? Because just last week I read about the seltzer machine, and since I have an addiction to seltzer (I buy 4-5 two-liter bottles a week), I am SO buying one of those machines.

What's the compensation on that?

Yeah, it only takes about an hour searching Craigslist to convince me that I have no marketable skills.
I'm making Buckeyes (yes, Steph! BUCKEYES!)
Nom nom nom.
There was a Buckeye disaster. The peanut butter was way too sweet. This has the advantage of meaning I can eat a part of a buckeye and be all, "okay, way too much." I took the dozen I made, packaged them in boxes and they will be given away.
Ooh, I want one of those seltzer things. And they come in penguin! [link]
Buckeye disaster! Oh, noes!
Damn. Suddenly I'm nostalgic for the midwest. Guess it's a good thing it's the holiday season.
Ooh, which reminds me, Steph, I'll be in your hood next month...Nov. 14th - 18th. Will you be around and not crazy occupied between the moving and the dad and the life and everything? The SO & I would love to see you.
Kona coffee:
That penguin is made of awesome. The SO has been trying to kick Coke (err, the cola, that is) and has taken to buying seltzer to kick up the Hawaiian juices we've been buying. We recycle the plastic bottles, of course, but it's still a lot of generated waste that doesn't have to be.
