I just needed someone who has been there to vent to about evil insurance companies who don't think that "21 days" is the correct prescription amount for birth control pills. ARGH!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hmm. So I actually do feel better after two days of laying low, but I was so into the idea of not going to work tomorrow, I think I'm still going to call out. At least then I could do my laundry and stuff.

HA! Meaning they think it needs to be 28 days? Whose the insurance folks?

I'm feeling slightly better thanks to Sudafed red pills, matzo soup and not really leaving the house. I'm trying to rearrange the nursery so I can get to the bed so that I can lie on that bed with the baby since he's too noisy to bring to bed otherwise.

Blue Shield HMO. Of course. Do you know what they told the pharmacy? Despite the fact that my prescription from the doctor specifies that one pack = 21 days, they said that because the pack comes with 28 pills, they can't call it a 21-day supply...even though the last seven pills are placeboes. I hate them a lot. I've been fighting them on this for the last year, and I'm getting really sick of it.

Dear Insurance Companies,
Women do, in fact, take progesterone for reasons other than birth control. You are not my doctor, so fuck off.
No love,
Kristin

ETA: Sorry to hear that you're sick. No fun at all.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I had that too. I solved it by discovering that Seasonale now comes in a generic.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to go back in to talk to the doctor about changing pill prescriptions. It's just frustrating because this one has been working really well for me for a very long time and has no discernable side effects.
