"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have a cold too. I should go back to sleep. But instead, I'm watching 30 Rock on the Tivo.

mac has a cough, but no other cold symptoms. He has learned that if he plays the tv and videos quietly on Sat that I just sleep without keeping tabs on what he is watching. So he is watching a Justice League "movie" for the 2nd or 3rd time this morning. Thing is, I don't really care and I am super thankful for the uninterupted sleep.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Good on mac, then! So far I haven't gotten much done, except that I updated Quicken and reassured myself that I still have money -- with the Unemployment benefits coming in while I'm in school, I'm only seeping out my expenses rather than gushing out savings. Yay team putting everything I could away in savings earlier this year when I had severance benefits. Prudence rewarded and all that.

it is rainy and cool outside and we have to go to a costume party. I opted to carry mac's costume and change there. but all I really want to do is curl up under a blanket on the coach and watch shows. ok, off to shower. have good days everyone.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good morning! I do not have a cold. Cross your fingers!

I even got up at a reasonable hour and had time for television yoga and a nice long shower and now I'm boiling water for coffee and the SO bought me my favorite cereal at the grocery. Yay!

Which is good, because the rest of the day should be fairly miserable. Early lesson, then 1/2 hour on, 1/2 hour off all day. Not enough time to go home, but more time than I want to spend futzing around a music store.

Then off to the house to run speaker cable.

It's rainy and cool here today, so it's an excellent day for being sick-ish

I think she's fortunate in that the persona/image she built doesn't require her to be cute or pretty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think she's still attractive, just different. Her original prettiness was very young.
