aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Hey, folks, just wanted to say thanks to those who offered sympathy since the last time I checked in. I'm flying to Alabama early in the am, so will most likely be dark for the next week or so. Here's hoping everyone has a happy week.

Oh, and Stephanie, what an adorable little girl!

Punishingly Intricate

Go take a walk! Even hard-rockin' women need to take their exercise!

I did it! Now I need encouragement to do some of the work I sent home so that I can then eat dinner and watch last week's Pushing Daisies.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Over the past few decades, the driest states in the United States have become some of our fastest-growing; meanwhile, an ongoing drought has brought the flow of the Colorado to its lowest levels since measurements at Lee’s Ferry began 85 years ago. At the Senate hearing, Udall stated that the Colorado River basin is already two degrees warmer than it was in 1976 and that it is foolhardy to imagine that the next 50 years will resemble the last 50. Lake Mead, the enormous reservoir in Arizona and Nevada that supplies nearly all the water for Las Vegas, is half-empty, and statistical models indicate that it will never be full again. “As we move forward,” Udall told his audience, “all water-management actions based on ‘normal’ as defined by the 20th century will increasingly turn out to be bad bets.”

Heh. Welcome to Australia.

Always Anti-fascist!

If Hillary talked like that all the time, she'd be my favorite. If she said that on the Senate floor, I'd drop everything and follow her around NY, I swear, especially if it was about FISA. there is something too Managed about her latest persona. But I'm not a big hater or anything. Just holding on to my idealistic first choice for the moment.

Dear NBC,

Stop using small white subtitles. Up a size and use yellow or black, damnit.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I wouldn't have a problem with the white subtitles if they had a black shadow around them or something to make them stand out.

Subtitles should be hot pink.

Subtitles should be readable.

So Devi's picked up on the 3x a day routine for one of her meds already (I have to crush it and mix it with something tasty to avoid further punctured fingers.) She's holding down the floor staring at her dish, and me when I walk by.

She's going to be a pill once this course is done, isn't she?

(If she is truly hypo, I'm going with the expensive radio-iodine cure, cause pilling her regularly is a no-go, as is letting her be sick.)

Sorry to be all cats, all the time. They're a comforting part of my life, so when they aren't right? It sucks.
