The Calculus of Saying “I Love You”
The Engineer, delightful and rational fellow that he is, made it clear that he would not be saying “I love you” until he was sure. Otherwise, he might waste this very important statement by saying it too early in the relationship, when his love was still growing rapidly, thereby taking away the significance in later weeks/months when his love was much, much greater.
Judy, obviously disappointed by this response, pressed and asked WHEN exactly that would be. His response: when dLove/dt = zero.

I showed Hubby that map of the fires, he looked at it a moment then tapped a section and said, "Except for that spot right there, I've fought fires in every one of those locations." He's been avoiding the news so that he doesn't have flashback nightmares.

I'm getting one because I work in Germy McGermville and Employee Health is giving them out free to all the staff, and would get one anyway before going home to see my mom, whose chemo isn't that far behind her. So I'd definitely get one in your shoes.

I'll do global find-and-replace when necessary to conform to a house style, but I think two spaces looks better even with proportional fonts. And I figure it's late days to break the habit of pounding the space bar twice after a period.
