Most people is pretty quiet right about now. Me, I see a stiff -- one I didn't have to kill myself -- I just get, the urge to, you know, do stuff. Like work out, run around, maybe get some trim if there's a willin' woman about... not that I get flush from corpses or anything. I ain't crazy.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There's a cool documentary called Cheeky Monkeys that shows up on Animal Planet et al -- it's about urban monkeys in Capetown, SA. Not only are they genuinely cleverer than raccoons, they have real opposable thumbs AND they will travel in groups of 10-40. And the monkey 'troops' (correct group name) get into territorial fights.

I'll take a skunk anytime, please.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am so sorry for your loss, Corwood. I think Tara was right when she said, "It's always sudden."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yup--the monkeys have too much cultural significance for killing them in cleanup to be an option (and, honestly, can you see that working here?).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm having chicken walnut salad and Earl Grey tea right now!

Yes, it is FG.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I had some awesome leftovers- I threw together a chicken noodle casserole last night with leftover chicken, pasta, and a bechamel with tons of fresh sage and thyme. put it in a pyrex, sprinkled bread crumbs on top, and stuck it in the oven. Yum!

I was impressed that we didn't eat it all last night- but we restrained ourselves and were rewarded with yummy leftovers.

I can't decide whether I'm annoyed or pleased that there are desserty treats in the kitchen.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I had the buffista recommended mediterranean pasta recipe...yogurt garlic sauce, normally with butter & pine nuts. I was missing the pine nuts, so I substituted wheat germ, which is not as yum, but still fine.
