Pie is out of oven. I put egg white on the crust, which caused it to brown maybe too much. I won't have anything more to report until it cools.

My previous pie crust recipe was from CI--I think it's why I signed up at cooksillustrated.com on Betsy's recommendation. Took more muscle than any I'd used before, but that fucker was flakey good. If they think this one is better, that's pretty cool.

If my parents were going to be here that long I would assume that they were using my house as a base for traveling The last time my parents were her for an extended time we sent them down the coast. of course - that was when there was a huge earthquake that knocked down the clock tower in pasa robles.
