"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Jesse, MBATP.

The name change not the contraceptives.

Gud, glad you clarified because my little brain hurts from trying to figure that one out!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, I've gotten in the habit of coughing up the extra $30 per leg on United for Economy Plus. It's like 5 extra inches and it makes such a difference.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I wonder what the statistics are on that, because I know several people who are taking or have taken the pill for reasons other than contraception

This is ME! A few years ago when I went into urgent care they could not believe I was in a same sex relationship AND on the pill. Still true today, as a matter of fact.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I keep seeing the ads for the Yasmin pill, or whatever it is, and thinking how great it sounds with the shorter periods and reduced irritability and whatnot and wouldn't it be great if I could take that but it would interfere with the whole trying to get pregnant thing. Sigh.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I take JetBlue frequently between New York and Phoenix. One midnight flight was pushed to 1 am, and I fell asleep right next to the gate. Only to be woken by a gate agent at 1 am, shaking me to tell me that (1) they had changed gates and I missed it (2) they had called for me a lot at the other gate and (3) they were holding the plane for me. I'm not sure other flights/gate agents would have done that. I made the plane. Also, the TV thing is awesome. TV makes being stuck so much better. It really is a panacea!

Then the flight was two hours late and I was 30 minutes late for a meeting with a Japanese client and I had to change into the same suit I wore to my high school reunion that weekend. But still. The TVs rock.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I get blood clots. Can't take the pill. Which is sad, because the whole clear skin/fewer periods/reduced rage and cramping sounds like awesomecakes to me.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I love my Yasmin, but the irritability? NSM reduced. Though I should take in to account that I am a cranky bitch. Also, it made me go up a half-cup size. Which, while it made my ExH happy, did not make me happy, because it meant having to buy new bras when I had perfectly cute ones.

I wish Alaska Air flew all over the US. I've never had a problem with their service - the planes are old, but clean.

Thrive to spite them

You notice the birth control pill ads never talk about how well they prevent pregnancy. Just about shorter periods and great skin.

I think they all do. The Yaz ads start with "The Pill is 99.blah blah percent effective at preventing unwanted pregnancy, but did you also know that...." And then the speil about better skin and shiny shiny hair and a perfect husband and such.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I have to be at work on Saturday at 5:30am.

Now that's just silly.

5:30 is one of those times that only comes once in a day. Everyone knows that. There is only 5:30 pm. That's when New Yorkers eat lunch.
