I keep seeing the ads for the Yasmin pill, or whatever it is, and thinking how great it sounds with the shorter periods and reduced irritability and whatnot and wouldn't it be great if I could take that but it would interfere with the whole trying to get pregnant thing.
I love my Yasmin, but the irritability? NSM reduced. Though I should take in to account that I am a cranky bitch. Also, it made me go up a half-cup size. Which, while it made my ExH happy, did not make me happy, because it meant having to buy new bras when I had perfectly cute ones.
I wish Alaska Air flew all over the US. I've never had a problem with their service - the planes are old, but clean.

I think they all do. The Yaz ads start with "The Pill is 99.blah blah percent effective at preventing unwanted pregnancy, but did you also know that...." And then the speil about better skin and shiny shiny hair and a perfect husband and such.

FYI ladies, the new "shorter period" formulations are just more active pills in a month, so you can get the same result from just taking three or four of the placebos in your current prescription.

I know several women who take the pill for reasons other than contraception. And FWIW Allyson I don't think you are missing anything in not taking it. Me hates them, they zip my libido down to about -20.
So my daughter just got up from her "nap" (these days she really just rests for a bit) having put an orange tank top and blue tie-dye pants on over her pink t-shirt/pinafore ensemble. That's an eye popper!
Oh, and to continue the random associative post, for everyone currently suffering from a head cold, I was recently introduced to a homeopathic remedy that actually seems to work (at least based on the last two colds I've had, which I admit is not a statistically significant sample size). It's called oscillo or oscillococcinum and it's packaged by Boiron. I tend to skeptical of such things but so far it seems to significantly reduce the number of days I feel like ass.
