In the past year I became BFFs with Daniel, and visited a TV set, and discovered what it is to truly loathe one's job.
And really, all of that was in January.
I think I gained and lost the same 10 pounds this year. Does that count?Oh, I did that several times. Nyah! Well, I think I probably did have a net loss of 10. But it should be more like 30. Oh well.
Today I talked to one of my bosses about cutting back to 4 days a week, and she was cool with it, so Monday I'll talk to my sup and find out what I have to do. And if I haven't gone broke and still hate the job after a couple months, I can cut it back further. It's kind of nice that every time I talk to her, she looks terrified that I'm about to give notice.
And then my annual review nonsense is due on Friday. I meant to bring it home. That'll be fun to fill out. "I don't care if I get a raise. I want to not be miserable."

Have a microwave but almost never use it-- I only use it to unfreeze frozen sauces (finishing it off over the stove), and tv dinners once in awhile. If I had a choice I'd probably go without, given the amount of space it takes.

I heard about that on the news as I woke up this morning. Rural NS is not known for it's openmindedness, so it's very heartwarming to hear.
I got the the Peter Greenaway lecture too late. It was full a half hour before it started. Should have found someone to drag to see Metric instead.
I did manage to get a program for the film festival finally. CKR is only in 2 films thus far. That leaves a lot of Canadian films he's not in. But Roy Dupuis is in two others so that balances it out.

Actually, the living room of the future as envisioned in 1979 is pretty accurate. Especially the jump suit with racing stripes. Still! Flat TVs and electronic mail.
