I'm having Cuban! And no pandas.

Natter 54: Right here, dammit.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
What's the difference? A free-range panda eats bamboo, while a factory-farm panda eats... bamboo.
And neither one moves around at all.
If you're literally going to Chipotle
Burrito place around the corner, actually. Closest Chipotle is a little farther than I care to walk today. Too hungry.
I think one reason fewer dogs are displayed at adoption centers is because dog-display space takes up much more space. You can put a cat into a cage the equivalent of a middle-sized cardboard box, for hours and days on end, and it won't mind; you just can't do that with most dogs without them going bananas.
So there are probably a lot more dogs actually in any given shelter's custody, just not where hoi polloi can see them.
I also suspect that, given X number of each species arriving at the shelter, a larger proportion of X among dogs than among cats is euthanized without even being considered for adoption. Dogs' violence is much less socially acceptable than any violence a cat can offer; dogs interact with humans more, so a deficit in their social training will be much more of a problem; and I strongly suspect that dogs are much more commonly targets of abuse and neglect than cats are.
(The perception that stray cats can survive just fine on their own, whereas stray dogs will Wreak Havoc, is also part of it, I think. We allow cats to wander a neighborhood without restraint, and don't think it's weird at all; but would call the humane society about a similar wandering dog.)
Thank doG I just ate.
Indulged in bad food - Big Mac and a small fry. Sometimes I just have to have MickeyDs (and it's been months).

I was reading Alan Sepinwall's review of Pushing Daisies and someone left this comment:
Too much pie talk, NOT ENOUGH ACTUAL PIE.
I think I have to tag it.
shrift, I wholeheartedly support getting a burrito or other burrito-type foodstuffs.
I just ate leftover shephard's pie that we made last night AIWFG!
Now, salad.
I am wanting curry for lunch but (a) I don't know where I can easily get some and (b) haven't actually had breakfast yet. This plan needs some work.
My DH and I have been exploring all the different leftovers that taste better when rolled up in a warm fajita. Today I have some pot roast and veggies.
That sounds delicious.
