Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

If by that you mean pale, sharp, stabby and pissed then yes, it is just as God made it.

Technically, that's how God made mantis shrimp.

You should have asked if the Ad&d coverage is still in effect if you get killed with a +6 Short Sword of Dragon Flame by an dark elf.

I don't really have a comment, except that this made me grin a grin of dorkitude.

So, on Saturday I got a letter from the company I'd applied to a month ago, saying that they'd keep my application on file but they were still looking. Which I'm tempted to interpret as "I suck," but right now I kinda don't care. And I haven't heard back from the therapist I very tentatively contacted over the weekend, which, see above.

Yet, I feel weirdly optimistic. Which might mean that I am in denial. Or it might mean that I've actually gotten enough sleep for a change and am not taking things too much to heart. I wish it was easier to tell when I'm judging things rationally. Like, if a buzzer went off or something, that would be helpful.

Sleep helps soo many aspects. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt here. Take optimism as it comes and run like hell.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

On the one hand, I'd like a buzzer like that, for the knowing what was what.

On the other, hearing a buzzer at irregular intervals wouldn't really go a long way towards confirming my sanity.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

While it's possible to be too optimistic, by and large if you have a choice it's go optimism, choose optimism!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe they took the long weekend. At any rate, sleep is good. As is optimism.

hip deep in pie

So far today:

Wake up with very sore back. Am half hour late for work since I am so slow moving. It hurts when I sit, stand, or walk. Unfortunately, lying down isn't an option at work. I now have a chiro appt. for later today.
Bought milk at cafeteria. Didn't notice that it was past due until I had a mouthful of chunky sour milk. I spit it out and got milk all over me and my cubicle. I suspect that sour milk will be the dominant scent for weeks to come.
Would like a do over please.

We're getting a new addition to the family. A second dog to go with are currently dog Thor (dog of thunder). It's going to be an energetic little Beagle that's going to be named Fenris. The kids are pretty excited and Thor will have somebody to play with outside. I was sort of amazed that there was such slim pickings at the shelter, they were running low on dogs to adopt. We found ours only because he had just been transferred from another shelter and there wasn't time for anyone else to adopt him first.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I wonder if more people are spaying/neutering their doggies? Or was it a random fluctuation in doggie supply?

I dunno, I always think of shelters as not having enough room, but it looked to be about at a quarter capacity and a lot of the dogs there were already adopted and just waiting pick up. This is a no kill shelter as well.
