I... got a haircut. Went to some concerts. Went public with my rhythm guitarist obsession. I bought sparkly rainbow shoes. I watched a lot of tennis. I squished John DeLancie. Vince Vaughn made me late for work.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
In the past year, I learned how to make bitchin' pies. There were other things that happened, but I think the pies deserve special mention.
Timelies all!
Didn't do much of note this past year. Helped run a filk convention. Had a major stress/panic attack which I'm still trying to recover from.
I performed in Vegas!!!
I got my position reclassed! I am getting a 7.5% raise, yays!
So, in the past year I got a promotion due to not getting a job, started library school, started couples therapy because of my husband's dissertation, visited family often but no friends farther than DC, finally made it to the Woods Hole house, joined a book club, stopped paying for daycare for my 4 year old because she started school... life is busy.
Also, the next department over had sausage biscuits from Biscuitville (no joke, this is a fast food joint here) this am. I just are one and OMGyum. It would be bad to go back and get, like, 5 more, right?
I am here to celebrate shrift's haircut and Nutty's pies.
Buffistas! Did you ever hear of this humor weekly called The Onion?
You might want to pick it up this week as it features: Interview with Seth Green (with a handsome picture); interview with Eddie Izzard; Random Rules with Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls, and songs ruined by saxophone.
Whoo hoo flea!!!
That's excellent!!
An awesome way of hiding beer at the office: [link]
Basically, you disguise a mini-fridge as a stack of cardboard boxes of the type that printer/copier paper comes in.
Yay Flea!
That is my big accomplishment this year-- getting my position reclassified and a raise. I also learned to take the bus.
I had no major life events in the past year, which is just as well, I suppose.
Finally got back from the vet -- I had to wait almost an hour because of an emergency, and I had no book with me! He didn't get the rabies shot, due to not going outside, but she said he needed bloodwork done, which he hasn't had in years, and holy crap, not cheap. He's also supposed to be eating fancy food, because of the tubbiness, but eh. If the bloodwork is fine, I'm really not going to worry about it.
