With tubs, deeper is better.
And longer, but the two usually go together (and no, ita, that is not porn, other than bathtub porn).
I overslept, which was maybe not so great for the insulin junkie cat, but great for me. Love Saturdays.

FNL: So glad it's back. I love Julie. Poor Matt. New coach is a dick! WRT Landry and Tyra- all that stuff about less football and more drama, and now this? Please show, don't be The O.C. Southern version!
According to a letter I got today, my personal data has been compromised due to a hacking incident with my old employer. Yay. I get free credit monitoring and $50K of identity theft insurance.
I logged in and there doesn't appear to be any worrisome activity and our credit scores seem to be intact. But this is going to be a pain in the ass to worry about.
FNL: I'm not happy about the Landry and Tyra plot bomb. One of the things I loved about this show was how close to real they kept things, framed in ambiguity and uncertainty, and I think I would have been perfectly happy watching those two already perfectly damaged characters work out the damage they already had. I feel like the writers have sacrificed the characters. I might have felt differently if they'd had the characters do the right thing and call 911 after the fight -- for the show I know, watching them work that out would have been plenty interesting.
I've been to Target, Trader Joe's, took a run, picked up the house and am in the middle of four loads of laundry. Tomorrow and Monday I have to work, so if I'm glad I'm feeling productive today.
I agree, sparky. I think it would have been MUCH more in character for Landry to call 911, and it kind of sucks that they didn't have him do that. At the same time, I think Landry so far hasn't been so much damaged as much as hopelessly dorky and clueless, and that could have gotten irritating. This at least gives him something to do other than be annoying best friend.
I also didn't like that they basically had Riggins back exactly where he was at beginning of last season, even though he changed over the season.
I have enough faith in the writers that I am willing to see where they take the okay, but less than grand start.
FNL: I didn't like that we hardly saw Riggins! You're right about Landry not being damaged, that was lazy on my part, but I still believe the writers have done an amazing job getting me to care about what happens next without resorting to the huge plot twist because they wrote amazing depth into these characters - the plots could be relatively simple and the characters complex.
Laundry score= 3rd load in washer.
I feel like I was beaten last night. I must take a day off next week and just rest.
last night I was pretty productive, today nsm.
I got up early and ran and started laundry and mopped my living room floor. Now I have to mop the kitchen floor and do more laundry. Bah! And pay bills, double-bah. But later I get to go out for yummy Chinese food with some friends, so that'll be fun.
As for FNL, I'm with Sparky and Lee about the ending. It was disturbing and disappointing and didn't seem to fit with the characters as we knew them. Why would Landry hit the guy twice? Also, apparently the leaked version used a bottle instead of a pipe: why the change? I'm really unhappy, it just doesn't seem something Landry in particular would do, especially since his dad's a cop. Tyra, I could see, because she's got little enough trust in the system (although enough to drive to the police station when she was being followed). But not Landry.
Ah, well, we work with what we got.
OK, I've stacked my trade paperback comics, boxed my magazine-sized comics and regular-sized comics. Now all that's left are my minicomics.
FNL: I'm not entirely caught up on S1, although I did watch the last few episodes in order, and the S2 premiere last night. I thought that Landry hitting the guy was perfectly reasonable for him. He's desperately in love, unsure of himself, and filled with frustration about how to show Tyra, about whether Tyra wants him, blah blah. Being flattened when this guy is attacking her, AGAIN, made that in-the-moment act of hitting him work for me. It had that sort of primal, "Oh, no, you don't. MINE," feel to it.
That said, I do agree that dumping the body was extreme and ridiculous. Landry is a cop's son, yes? He has to know that sort of thing never works. I get that he's in love, and in the moment terrified and sick, but they're really going to have to show my why he let Tyra convince him to do that.
Love the show. LOVE. I have the S1 DVDS, courtesy of Lee!, and I'm trying to catch up on the eps I missed.
