I remember the Stretch Monster and Stretch Armstrong (a friend had one) but not Stretch Octopus. Except when I think the phrase "Stretch Octopus" in my head, it seems... oddly familiar....
Princess of Power
There's a great 2 Nice Girls song about She-Ra, Princess of Power. Anyway, I'm off to the pep rally. Go Cats! Or, um, something.
I'm not the spirit-est of teachers, I'm afraid. Bye!
"Why should I learn French? In 20 years, everyone will speak English anyway."

In grade school I had some bad experiences with School Spirit....
who didn't?
I just heard one of my tech support cohorts say tensely "He's not responding" and for some reason my mind when automatically to a House place, and I wondered what clever treatment Dr. House would come up with next.
I think I need a break, and the 11-hour-days/We're-buying-you-lunch-so-you-don't-have-to-leave-your-desk days need to end.
Watching Stewart and Matthews now. Ha!
In my high school (which was big--around 3,000 students), people got points for participating in school-related activities. The Pep Squad petitioned the student government for extra points, because keeping up school spirit was such a big job that they worked extra hours. In the next student gov. meeting, a bunch of my friends petitioned that if the Pep Squad got extra points, THEIR new club, the "Tornado Watchers," should get even more extra points, as they watched for tornadoes 24 hours a day. The pep squad got angry, there was crying and yelling and flouncing out. All in all, a great day for all of us who had no school spirit.
I have free chocolate ice cream. Nom nom nom.
