Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

hey ita, you ever seen them make vinegar? It involves something called a "mother" which is like a huge yeasty lump just floating in the liquid. Seriously gack.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It involves something called a "mother" which is like a huge yeasty lump just floating in the liquid. Seriously gack.

AAAAAHHH! Bring back the coconut crabs. At least they make sense. They have too many arms (about eight over) but I prefer too many to too few.

Bouncing around the internet I caromed into Phoebe Price.

She's famous for nothing in particular. Even more (less?) nothing than Paris Hilton.

I could totally do that job--I just don't know how to start.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Kombucha is the Western name for sweetened tea or tisane that has been fermented by a macroscopic solid mass of microorganisms called a "kombucha colony," usually consisting principally of Bacterium xylinum and yeast cultures.

It's also gross. Ick. Ick. Ick. So raunchy to the taste buds.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Awww, check it out. My ex-minion is today's portrait on the 365 Portraits project.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I missed the reference.

Aurelia, when Chuck is being shown the film clips by the doctor, one of them says something like "Oceanic flight 815 was shot down by" before the next one pops up.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I got that! I had to back up the Tivo to make sure I heard what I heard. But they're not even the same network, are they? Weird.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I was so confused about what to watch last night-- Chuck, Prison Break, How I met Your Mother-- that I ended up watching the Ken Burn's WWII documentry on PBS and missing Heroes because I got interested.

Also, the vinegar "mother" is gross to me, but I love vinegar.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

NBC is rerunning Heroes on Saturday at 8:00pm, Sophia.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Any local folks know if baseball is going to mess with Supernatural airing?

I'm not your local, but if your local is like my local, probably not. The games are on Fox (and sometimes F/X), and there might be pregame/fannish coverage, but it'll be in the 5-8 hours and not during primetime. Unless Sweet Lou up and shoots somebody in the middle of the game, in which case I do think local would break in on the national feed.

I imagine WGN will have all sorts of coverage, but my vague impression of WGN from cable is that it's not affiliated with any network.

Weirdly, baseball almost never breaks in on my local schedule. But football just pushed Dancing with the Stars to 1am last night, so that proper (local) Monday Night Football pregame could be performed. It's only 1/4 of the way through the football season!

Power came on sometime before 2, I think. Woke up at 2:30 when the alarm decided to go off. I guess its battery needs replacing. Woke up at 5:30 due to the BGE workmen outside being loud. And the transformer sparking every few seconds. Not confidence inspiring. Finally woke up at 7:30, seriously not wanting to be. Had to wait for BGE to move their truck to get my car out.
